Pentagon Solutions: Army aims for net zero energy

Katherine Hammack is the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations & Environment in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army.

Hammack and her team of 21 Army installations are aiming to achieve net zero waste, water and energy by 2020.

The installations will compare lessons learned at periodic meetings. Based on the successes and lessons learned additional Army installations will participate in a future selection process with the intent of reaching the net zero goals.
