On this week’s Pentagon Solutions, Beth McGrath, deputy chief management officer at the Defense Department, breaks down the newly released Strategic Management Plan. She discusses where the plan fits in DoD’s larger outlook for 2014 and beyond.

McGrath says the DoD is set to meet its goals in the Statement of Budgetary Resources in 2014 and the Financial Improvement Audit Readiness Plan by 2017. She outlines four goals in the Strategic Management Plan for 2014 and 2015, which McGrath says are similarly aligned with the objectives from previous years.
