While you might have the latest computer or mobile device, don’t expect the same for your customers. Due to many factors, including security and budget, many of the latest and greatest web and mobile technologies won’t work in some federal agencies. Technologies such as Flash and HTML5 simply won’t work on many federal computers. This is very important to consider when you are designing banner ads or your website and want to reach federal decisionmakers or the federal government. While these restrictions are gradually getting better, there are still limitations that exist across different agencies. Talk to your existing federal customers to find out what limitations they have at their agency and take those limitations into consideration when creating your federal marketing strategy.
