Microsoft wants to become industry leader in cloud computing

The Washington Post’s Cecilia Kang posted this morning a full transcript of her one-on-one interview late Monday with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, fresh off a WPC keynote in which he stressed his company’s business plan is to emphasize new cloud services. But of Microsoft’s agenda in D.C. this year? “Number one is clear: We would like to see better global enforcement of intellectual property laws,” he said. “If we are going to do our fair share and the industry is going to do its fair share for the president’s desire to double exports, that will involve the federal government. That is particularly true in China.”
