Tech standards to change for accessing buildings, computers

The government is updating rules that affect the way you access federal buildings and computer systems.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is revising Federal Information Processing Standard 201.

That document sets a framework for personal identity verification under HSPD-12 for both contractors and federal agencies.
