OPM wins innovation award for training wiki

The Office of Personnel Management won an Innovation Award from the Training Officers Consortium for its training and development wiki.

OPM developed the wiki in January 2011 as an “ever-revolving resource” for federal employees to share best practices, according to the wiki.

Online Chat: Beth Killoran, deputy assistant secretary for Information Technology and chief information officer at HHS, on March 28.

“Providing training for employees not only helps them develop their skills and knowledge, but it is also a motivational tool as well as a building block to organizational success,” the website states.


OPM Director John Berry said in a statement that the wiki ultimately helps agencies meet mission goals and help feds in their careers by providing a forum for good ideas.
