BioSense — the program launched by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks and the anthrax scare — is moving into the cloud.

After the program was created, CDC officials realized that BioSense had wider applications for all sorts of health and epidemiology issues, by providing situational awareness.
