The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, has launched a new program to fund hacker research, Government Computer News reports. The new program, which DARPA announced at the Black Hat hacker conference in Las Vegas this week, is dubbed Cyber Fast Track.

Peter Zatko, famous in the hacker world as Mudge, announced the new program. He said security software has become exponentially more complex, now averaging about 10 million lines of code. Yet the average piece of malware still contains only about 125 lines of code.
