Philip Reitinger, who left the Homeland Security Department in the spring, has a new job: the first chief information security officer at Sony Corporation, Information Week reports.

Reitinger, who came to the federal government from Microsoft, was undersecretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate.

Reitinger will report to Sony’s executive vice president and general counsel and not to it’s CIO. Sony was stung earlier this by security breaches in which it lost the personal data of more than 100 million users of its PlayStation network.
