The Defense Department’s goal of developing enterprise-wide back-office services for pay, personnel or even contracting may be coming to an end, reports Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller. DoD set up the Business Transformation Agency in October 2005 to address long-standing problems in large, complex system development programs. But now DoD is rethinking BTA’s role, especially after it had to revise its approach to the Defense Integrated Human Management Resources System, known as DIHMRS. Jason talked to David Fisher, Director of the BTA, about the status and future of DIHMRS.
