  • Lawmakers will announce tomorrow the next competition in the US Cyber Challenge, a program the government hopes will create a new generation of cybersecurity experts. The new program, Cyber Foundations, is aimed at individual high school students. The Navy will provide full college scholarships to the winners. Alan Paller, the director of research at the SANS Institute, says there is already a competition for teams of high school students, but it’s important to give all kids the opportunity to compete.
