How to bring diversity to military leadership

Greg Jacob, policy director at the Service Women Action Network, says to create a level playing field in the military women need to be in combat.

The military is too white and too male. That’s the assessment from the Military Leadership Diversity Commission.

The report found more than 75 percent of the highest ranking officers were white and male.

One of the biggest barriers keeping women from the highest ranks is their inability to serve in combat units.
