Air Force Wants to Reduce Airlifter Use

The Air Force wants Congress to cut back the amount of airlifters it has to use, DoDBuzz reports.

Gen. Duncan McNabb, the commander of U.S. Transportation Command, said the reduction will save $1.2 billion in the five-year defense plan. However, Congress has mandated the Air Force keep at least 316 aircraft.
