Navy warships not ready to fight

A growing number of the Navy’s warships are NOT ready to fight, DOD Buzz reports.

Vice Admiral Bill Burke and Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy told a House Armed Services Committee panel it took a lot of years to put the Navy’s surface fleet in its current state and it will take a lot of time to fix it, according to the article.

Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy says they have a good plan to help repair the fleet but they are not ready to go right now, DoD Buzz reports.

According to the article, the ships are in bad physical shape, carry broken equipment, insufficient spare parts, and can’t even rely upon their advanced weapons and sensors.
