Lawmakers seek private sector help to fight Chinese cyber spying

Congress is taking aim at Chinese cyber spies and asking the private sector to join the fight, Reuters reports.

The chairman of the House intelligence committee says U.S. firms are afraid to come forward because they fear their computers would be the targets of even more attacks.

Google partially pulled out of China last year after concerns of censorship and a hacking episode that it said originated from China.

Congress is asking companies to band together to pressure China to stop.


But China is fighting back, saying it’s one of the world’s biggest hacking victims.
