The Air Force plans to host its first Software Development Forum in Colorado Springs, Colo. next month.

The forum is intended to provide program managers, application owners, developers and industry personnel with a central resource and community.

Lt. Col. Richard Janoso, the vice commander at the Air Force Network Integration Center, joined In Depth with Francis Rose with a preview of the conference.

According to the integration center, the forum would establish an efficient way to discuss and collaborate on the technical risks and costs associated with integrating and supporting applications on the AFNET.

A few topics on the agenda: Certificates of Networthiness, software development standards and security, and application hosting environments. The forum is open to the public.
