October is National Cybersecurity Month. One of the celebration points is the induction of new members to the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame.

Mike Jacobs was the first information assurance director at the National Security Agency, and he’s now the’s chairman of the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame.

Jacobs discusses the process for nomination and some of the noteworthy recipients.

The Defense Department has a central policy that helps branches decide how to use their own camouflage uniforms. But guidance shortfalls have led to wasted budgets and uniform replacements, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office.

The White House Military Office confirmed its system was breached in early September by Chinese computer servers, following news reports late Sunday. Among other duties, the WHMO is the network some of the country’s nuclear strategic commands.

Alan Paller, the director of research at the SANS Institute, joins In Depth to discuss whether this latest eyebrow-raising hacking incident will spur more action on federal cybersecurity.
