Border Patrol officers from the Yuma, Arizona station seized a vehicle carrying an estimated $359,500 worth of marijuana on Dec. 5. Six suspects fled capture and returned to Mexico, while leaving behind 719 pounds of marijuana.
That same afternoon, officers from the Welton Station seized two bundles of marijuana worth an estimated $22,500. The 45-pound bundles had been abandoned and were spotted by Air and Marine Operations’ Yuma Branch pilots.
On Dec. 4, Welton agents had seized 469 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated value of $234,500.
