Put Some Zip in It

One of the best ways to get started in your search for a health plan is to figure out what’s available in your area, then compare a few against each other.

You can enter your zip code on OPM’s annual FEHB page for a list to start with. Before you put in the code though, give some thought to where you’d rather see the doctor: close to home, or close to work.

To get you going, OPM’s plan search page is http://www.opm.gov/insure/07/spmt/plansearch.aspx
