How contractors can prepare in uncertain budget times

The budget battle on Capitol Hill is raising questions about federal contracting.

President Obama has promised to sign a two-week continuing resolution that cleared Congress this morning.

But that doesn’t mean the companies that work with government are in the clear. Agencies are still waiting for a final answer on 2011 spending.

Stephen Ryan, who leads the Government Strategies Practice Group at McDermott, Will and Emery, offers advice to vendors and contractors who may be worried that the government still does not have a budget for the rest of fiscal year 2011.
