GAO recommends more privacy in OPM background checks

You undergo background checks, offering all sorts of information — but is that information kept private and secure?

A report by the Government Accountability Office states the Office of Personnel Management — which conducts about 90 percent of all federal background investigations — needs to do more to ensure privacy.
