The SBA’s role in saving Detroit

May 2, 2014 — This week on “Fed Access”, Gerald Moore, Michigan district director for the Small Business Administration, joins host Derrick Dortch to discuss what his agency is doing to help small businesses in the city of Detroit.

Moore talks about the programs and services offered by the SBA, and offers advice on what business owners can do to expand their operations.

He also discusses in detail how the economic downturn has affected Detroit, and how budget cuts and sequestration have impacted the SBA’s ability to carry out its mission.
