This week on “Fed Access”, Julie Rochman, president and CEO of the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety, joins host Derrick Dortch to discuss what you can do to protect your home or business from hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and other natural disasters.

Rochman will talk about the organization’s mission, and how it uses research to help create more resilient communities, and limit the property damage and loss of life that occur when a natural disaster hits.

She will also discuss the institute’s Fortify program which is set of engineering and building standards that homeowners, builders, and contractors can to use to make structures safer, stronger and more resistant to disasters.
