There could be some cybersecurity issues at the department of Transportation. NextGov reports that the websites which carry stimulus spending results could be vulnerable to hackers. Anyone hacking into the system could manipulate data or attack visitors’ computers. While agencies continue to post their stimulus data on Recovery.gov, many keep in-house websites for financial management. Transportation officials say they haven’t detected any incidents, but it isn’t clear whether DOT’s security problems could impact Recovery.gov or FederalReporting.gov.
