100 foreign agencies test Defense networks

More than 100 foreign intelligence agencies have tried to crack the DoD computer networks. Deputy Defense Secretary Bill Lynn says the attackers want to steal military plans and weapons systems designs. Secretary Lynn says foreign governments and rogue states are major threats, but he says terror groups like al-Qaida are a greater threat because they’re more difficult to deter. Secretary Lynn spoke at the RSA Conference in San Francisco yesterday.
