Pentagon appeals to addicts to seek treatment or face consequences

The Pentagon is giving prescription drug addicts in uniform a chance to fess up.

They have until May 1, under a new defense plan to test for prescription drug abuse. DoD is expanding the number of substances it tests for, and it wants anyone who is addicted to call themselves out and go for voluntary treatment and rehab. After May 1, service members can get in trouble for violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
