Army takes delivery of 200 new tanks

One Army unit is riding high on new wheels.

The Second Heavy Brigade Combat Team took delivery of nearly 200 new M1-A2 Abrams Tanks and M2-A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

They’re the latest versions of rolling stock first delivered 25 years ago. The new machines sport a lot of new technology giving operators better situational awareness and sharper optics. New features on the Abrams increase the lethality and protective capabilities of the tank.
