DoD revises its telework policy

DOD wanted telework to be available to the maximum number of civilian workers without affecting readiness.

The north Pentagon parking lot could look a little more open weekday mornings. That’s because the Defense Department has revised its telework policy. DoD is call for for the civilian personnel office to designate a telework managing officer to make sure the new policy is carried out.

DOD wanted telework to be available to the maximum number of civilian workers without affecting readiness. It saw telework as a tool to help recruit veterans and people with disabilities. The policy envisioned some people teleworking fulltime.
