Air Force revamps program to aid airmen returning to civilian life

The Air Force is revamping a program to help departing airmen take on civilian life. It’ll include help on applying military skills to civilian jobs.

The Air Force will also provide financial planning support, and a briefing on veterans benefits. The new program will be be mandatory instead of optional.

Leaders say the redesign will standardize transition services to make service members job-ready when they leave. They’re planning to launch the program service-wide in November.
