Joe Kirschbaum: How reliable is ADS-B Out technology for military surveillance?

The Federal Aviation Administration has been working to deploy technology called Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Out, or ADS-B Out. It will give controllers much more information about planes in the air. The Defense Department plans to add this technology to a growing number of military planes. But that could lead to all sorts of problems. Joseph Kirschbaum, director of defense capability and management issues at the Government Accountability Office, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin to discuss recommendations.
