The legendary New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner said his goal for the Yankee Stadium was to put a fanny in every seat. The federal government has the opposite goal — a seat for every fanny. But when space needs or employee headcounts change, what happens to the abandoned furniture? It’s a bigger problem than one might think. Lori Rectanus, director of physical infrastructure issues at the Government Accountability Office, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin to explain.
