All of that gray matter inside your head would be so much cauliflower if it wasn’t for synapses, the super fast switches that make your brain cells into — well — your brain. Now scientists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology have developed a superconductive switch. They believe these switches could connect electronic components into a brain-like system.  NIST physicist Mike Schneider explains the possibility on Federal Drive with Tom Temin.
