Systems Engineering Manager: Solutions Architect, Combatant Command & Storage Area Networking Teams As engineering manager of Brocade’s Federal Solutions Architects and Combatant Commands as well as its tradition Storage Area Networking portfolio, Stephen is responsible for the personnel resources and evangelism of Brocade’s Ethernet, SDN and SAN portfolio for the Federal Government and how these products fit into current campus and data center technology trends and direction. Stephen has more than 23 years experience in data center networks, storage systems and server technologies. Before becoming a manager, he was one of Brocade’s Principle Systems Engineers working with the top federal accounts in the design and development of data center architectures for all aspects of the federal government worldwide. Prior to joining Brocade, Stephen was the Chief Architect for the U.S Navy’s Air Combat Environmental Test and Evaluation Facility (ACETEF) as well as the manager of Navair’s High Performance Computing Center – East. In both positions he was in charge of the integration and operations of the data center resources into a real- time distributed memory test architecture. Stephen has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
