#FedFeed – Children take over the government for a day

The federal government was overrun by children on Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

Agencies lucky enough to have emergency response vehicles, tactical equipment or generally nifty tech rolled out their coolest toys. The Homeland Security Department even brought a helicopter.

Mock press briefings and interviews were another common theme, while rumor has it the Government Accountability Office’s junior analysts were treated to a seminar called “Fundamentals of Evidence.”

But nothing quite beats the National Institutes of Health, which brought kids to a pathology lab for a show-and-tell session that included actual human organs, and got the whole thing on video.
