January 29, 2018 – Host Bob Leins and co-host Tammy Flanagan, Senior Benefits Director at NITP, welcome Marva Goldsmith, author, career coach, consultant, trainer, and entrepreneur.
You’ve worked 20, 30, or even 40 years and now it’s time to retire! Most federal employees will retire and live blissfully without working again – but, some will return to the workforce to follow a passion; while others may return to fill a gap between their pension and living needs. Whatever the reason, welcome to the Perennial Workforce!
Why Perennial? Perennials come back year after year, heartier than the last season, ready for their next adventure.
How do you define this next adventure?
Do you have the courage to create a living that makes your heart sing?
What are the new vehicles that you can use to create a living?
Marva Goldsmith transitioned from electrical engineer in the utility industry to an image and brand coach in 2001 – a leap for sure – and has made her second transition to change management and organizational effectiveness at the tender age of 58. She wrote the Perennial Workforce to encourage Baby Boomers to change the narrative from “I need to work” to “I create my living”.
