Army war games tackles future capabilities

Unified Quest is an annual scenario-planning exercise for the Army to examine future force development.

This year’s Unified Quest is under way.

The Army’s annual war games and scenario-planning exercise included an “alternative Futures Symposium.” The Army considered things like world economic recovery, population trends, and ecological influences to figure out strategies for challenges its force could face between now and 2028, reports Wired.

This year’s conference is especially important because the military is moving away from ground troops and focusing on the ocean, air and cyberspace, according to the report.
