This week on “Off the Shelf”, Brian Friel, senior contracts analyst, and Cameron Leuthy, senior budget analyst, from Bloomberg Government provide both an update on the current budget and an overview of multiple award contracts (Big MACs) across the federal government.
Friel and Leuthy share their analysis and insights on the current state of MACs.
Friel discusses key trends including the growth in the small business share of MAC dollars, increased competition at the task order level and the impact on incumbents.
In addition, Leuthy provides insights on how the budget is impacting use of MACs and which agencies are increasing or decreasing their use of MACs.
