Fun stuff: Boston’s wasn’t the only tea party

Federal News Radio speaks with Recreation News Editor Marvin Bond about interesting things to do in and near the nation’s capital. This week:

• check out a range of festivals this weekend in our region, including the re-enactment of a colonial protest of Britain’s hated tea tax that is said to have taken place in Chestertown, Maryland in 1774.

Boston’s “tea party” protest in 1773 was but the first and most famous of a series of similar actions taken by colonists upset about taxation without representation.
