Mr. Edward J. O’Donnell is Vice President, F135 & F119 Business Development. In this capacity, he provides leadership for all F135 and F119 U.S., International and Aftermarket business development activities for Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines division. He is responsible for establishing and implementing Business Development strategies to meet the requirements of our customers utilizing and seeking 5th generation products and services.

Ed joined Pratt & Whitney in 1978 as a structural engineer on the F100 engine program. He has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility including key leadership roles in Business Development and the Program Office. In 2001, Ed was named F135 international program director leading the industrial and program management responsibilities for the eight JSF partner countries. In 2007, he was named director international program and business development with the responsibility for identifying and capturing international business for new, existing and derivative engine models, as well as providing program and general management support to our existing twenty-eight international customers. During his 32 year career at Pratt & Whitney, Ed spent 10 years supporting our customers in Europe.

Ed received a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University in 1978, and a Master of Business Administration from the Krannert Executive School of Management at Purdue University in 2001. He also served two years as a cadet at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy from 1974 to 1976.


A native Floridian, Ed now resides in Avon, Connecticut, with his wife Jayne. He has two grown children, a son and daughter.
