Ken Kartsen is Vice President of Federal Sales for McAfee, a security solutions provider that works with both Intel and Defense Customers. Prior to his current position, the 15-year sales veteran served as Director of Federal Sales for Palo Alto Networks. In this position he was also responsible for Federal Sales and operations of the company. He joined Palo Alto Networks in 2009, before which he worked as Vice President of Federal Sales for IBM internet security systems. While there, he was responsible for the intelligence, Defense Department, and civilian sales sectors. While at IBM, he managed all federal IBM ISS sales, channel and business development, systems engineering and all field marketing activities. Before serving on IBM’s executive team, Kartsen was responsible for sales and sales management at Internet Security Systems. He held this position for six years and was responsible for enterprise security solutions and enterprise deployments at U.S. homeland security agencies, as well as at the Internal Revenue Service, the Postal Service, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. In the late 1990s, Kartsen also initiated Salesforce efforts for NetSec. Kartsen earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clemson University.
