AT&T first under Networx to get cybersecurity approval

WFED\'s Jason Miller reports.

AT&T became the first vendor under the Networx telecommunications contract to receive approval to offer Internet gateway cybersecurity services governmentwide.

Under the Trusted Internet Connections, or TIC, initiative, OMB is requiring every agency to implement Managed Trusted IP services, or M-TIPs, by January 31st, 2011.

Jeff Mohan is the executive director of AT&T’s Networx program office.

He tells our own Jason Miller about what receiving this approval means to agencies.
