Patient Access to Medical Charts

Who is reading what you write? That’s the question some doctors will soon have to ask themselves. Some hospitals in Massachusetts are undergoing a pilot program that allows patients to access information written by their doctors in their medical charts. One of the program’s organizers says it will be interesting to see if doctors change the way they take notes if they know their patients will be reading them. One of the goals of the test program is to see how it will affect doctor-patient relationships.
