BioSense — the program launched by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks and the anthrax scare — is moving into the cloud.

After the program was created, CDC officials realized that BioSense had wider applications for all sorts of health and epidemiology issues, by providing situational awareness.

Taha Kass-Hout, the program manager for BioSense, joined the Federal Drive to discuss how the program is evolving and why it’s time to move to the cloud.
