Maintaining cybersecurity has become a mission-critical 365/24/7 priority for the U.S. military. And no one knows that better than Maj. Gen. Brett Williams, USAF, the recently retired Director of Operations for U.S. Cyber Command. In this episode of AFCEA Answers, Gen. Williams discusses how Cyber Command works in a joint environment to protect the nation’s military information networks. He also discusses how the Joint Information Environment, now under construction, is a key element in enabling that protection, while also transitioning the military to a data-centric approach to information sharing.
