A year ago, Results Junkies founder Paul Singh moved into a trailer to travel across the country to invest in what he calls “venture scale companies and main street businesses” and he is discovering that “there are investment opportunities everywhere…because the internet is ubiquitous across the planet now and across the country.”

The internet has allowed people to apply their skills and degrees outside of their small towns.

“It used to be that if one wanted to go into the technology industry they had to go to Silicon Valley or if they wanted to go into the steel industry they had to be in Pittsburg,” Singh says.

However, now someone can expand beyond their town without physically moving.

“It’s never been easier to get into venture, its never been harder to stay in venture,” Singh told What’s WOrking in Washington.

Singh predicts investors will move to smaller funds in the future as more people embrace the flexibility and diversity available to them.

“Lifestyle has finally become a key ingredient in everybody’s decision process.”

Investment is beginning to change for the better as connections across the country and across the globe have allowed people to invest anywhere and
everywhere.
