President Obama is defending his decision to shutter the military detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He says the prison has made the United States less safe and set back the country’s “moral authority.” But the president’s plans have met with opposition from both sides of the aisle in Congress. Lawmakers have rejected the administration’s request for $80-million dollars to close the facility. And CNN’s Dick Uliano tells us that now, the White House is scrambling to formulate a new plan.
