BRAC beefs up Ft. Meade

Base hosts tour to show off new facilities

By now you know, Ft. Meade is growing, thanks to BRAC. The base hosted a tour of its 5,000 acre campus to highlight $500 million in new office space that’s being built. That’s where the Pentagon is sending three agencies. By this time next year the base will have another 5,600 new jobs. The Baltimore Business Journal reports that the Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense Media Activity, and Defense Adjudication are all moving to Ft. Meade. DISA’s million-square-foot headquarters is the largest. The moves are expected to be completed by July.
