A single federal agency should be in charge of protecting the nation’s power grid from cyber attacks.

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say that the current system, which includes federal, state and local entities, is inefficient and could leave gaps in security, Reuters reports.

M.I.T. researchers say there’s no absolute insurance against cyberattacks. But they also believe that a single federal agency should be responsible for keeping the grid safe.
