If your agency is like most public-sector organizations, its efficiency is stagnating, at best. That’s while efficiency in the private sector is increasing. The Center for American Progress looked at this phenomenon at a round-table discussion yesterday. The expert panel included Anna Burger, International Secretary-Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union; Elaine Kamarck, former head of President Clinton’s National Performance Review; Nancy Killefer, Senior Director at McKinsey & Company; and John Koskinen, former deputy director for management at the Office of Management and Budget under President Clinton. CAP President and CEO John Podesta moderated the event.
