Cyberwarfare now the norm, says NATO

NATO has joined the chorus of organizations warning about the increasing tempo of cyber attacks. The Wall Street Journal reports Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the NATO secretary general, says cyber attacks against the United States and other nations amount to a new form of permanent, low-level warfare. He adds, U.S. networks, both civilian and military, are probed thousands of times daily. NATO’s heaquarters are attacked 100 times a day. Rasmussen says that one hundred countries are thought to be engaged in cyber warfare, with China and Russia being the biggest culprits.
